Tips: Slide Door Care

Note the condition of the rails. Caring for the sliding door is fairly simple, but by no means be underestimated. One reason for selecting manufacturing sliding doors (sliding door) to MPV which they make is easy access to the cabin. The mechanism of the door itself, can be electrically or manually. The door has a series of components that are not as complicated machine. However, as usage and age, these devices also need to be treated.

The important thing is to maintain cleanliness and bearing rails. From some of the complaints, the main cause comes from the breakdown of the door because of conditions that are less clean, so rusty. Basically, the doors are designed for low maintenance. Therefore, treatment is fairly easy and can be done alone.

For that, for those who have cars with sliding doors (for example the Hyundai H-1), the following guidelines can keep the doors remain prime conditions. Also provide cleaning fluid, grease, and rags.

  1. Note the condition of the rails. Use a clean cloth that has been sprayed cleaning fluid (lubricant spray) to remove impurities and residual lubricant.
  2. After the rails cleaned, basting with fat rails (lubricating pastes) containing paraffin (avoid fat-containing oil because it will facilitate dust).
  3. Forward backing the door a few moments. When the door sounded noisy, then the bearing is less lubrication.
  4. Clean up all bearing contact with the rails.
  5. Mechanism of the sliding door is designed to be easily closed shortly after the handle is operated. So, do not take much energy to move it. If it is too often slam the hook mechanism could be short-lived.
I hope the above tips can be useful for those of you who own a car with sliding doors.
