2011 Jaguar C-X16 Concept Car - The Jaguar C-X16 Concept is powered by a hybrid that combines a V6 all-alloy with an electric motor to boost performance inspired by Formula One KERS system. The purpose of the performance of the hybrid system is threefold: to complete the V6 engine is already prodigious power with a request to "push to pass" system, reducing fuel consumption and to allow the execution of C-X16 exhaust as the zero-emission electric vehicles at speeds up to 50 mph in the low throttle openings. The Jaguar C-X16 concept extends the start / stop functionality of the system by connecting to an integrated transmission-mounted motor-generator as a unit with the gearbox. This is powered by a lithium-ion 1.6 kWh mounted behind the seats for the weight distribution. As in the center of the most demanding motor sport, Jaguar employs a kinetic energy recovery (KERS). The battery is charged above all with an electro-hydraulic rear Brake Energy Regeneration system.

The Jaguar C-X16 Concept also uses newly established firms such as Jaguar style subtly rounded trapezoidal grille. Inspired by the concept car C-X75 and recognizable in relation to the current XF and XJ is the focal point for the front of the vehicle, providing instant recognition mirror.
