Volvo V40 2013


Volvo V40 2013 - After performing at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Volvo V40 2013 will be marketed and become one of the flagship Volvo Car Corporation from mid this year. Volvo is available in manual and automatic transmissions and will offer a diesel engine with CO2 emissions of 94 g/km. T5 petrol engine (254 hp) is able to slide from 0-100 kph in just 6.7 seconds. All models equipped with features start-stop and braking energy regeneration.


Volvo has been sharpened and the complement of features and characteristics of the Volvo V40 to compete in the premium hatchback class. "V40 became the first model based on a fully developed human-centric, strategy-based Designed Around You," said Stefan Jacoby, President & CEO of Volvo Car Corporation.

Various safety features will be installed specifically for the Volvo V40. Some of them are Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake, airbag for pedestrians, Lane Keeping Aid with automatic steering, and Park Assist Pilot (make parallel parking easier). City Safety to act as a system at a low speed accident avoidance. This feature is active when the car goes below 50 kph (in some countries below 30 kph).

Production will begin in May 2012. Assembly plant in Ghent, Belgium. Volvo aims to sell 90 thousand units per year, in which 85% are expected to contributed from Europe.
