2012 Maserati Quattroporte


CAR GARAGE | 2012 Maserati Quattroporte | For 2012, the base trim is no longer available, and the S and Sport GT S trims are Carried over. The Quattroporte is Maserati's flagship luxury performance sedan. The S trim's 4.7-liter V8 puts out 425 horsepower and the Sport GT S '4.7-liter V8 Produces 433 horsepower.


Standard features include Brembo brakes, 20-inch alloy wheels, bi-directionally-adaptive xenon headlights, heated leather power seats with memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear parking sensors and a Bose sound system with hard drive and navigation system. The Sport GTS S features a unique grille and bumpers, lowered sport suspension, MC-Auto Shift software package for racing-style control of gear changes, Alcantara trim on the seats and throughout the interior, and TitanTex (an aluminum-coated titanium fiber fabric ) interior trim.


The 2012 Quattroporte is available in S and Sport GT S trims. Despite weighing about 4.400 pounds, the Maserati Quattroporte manages to feel like a car half its size with well-weighted steering, limited body roll and a captivating eagerness to change direction. Steering is sharp and communicative, and the Quattroporte's unique-in-its-class front mid-mounted engine, its weight set entirely AFT of the front axles, Gives the car outstanding balance. The overall shape is handsome and well proportioned, as expensive Italian cars almost invariably are.


The Maserati Quattroporte, Sport GT and Executive GT arrive with hefty price tags, though, and They Do not offer the same straight-line punch as some of Their full-size luxury sedan European or Japanese competitors. QP drivers will forgo the pleasures of iPod and Bluetooth. There is no smart-key available, no power trunk closure, no road-following headlamps.
