2012 Subaru Impreza

UK versions of the Subaru Impreza will be powered by an all new 1.6 liter 4-cylinder Boxer engine and petrol will be available with either a new five-speed manual transmission or Subaru's Lineartronic CVT. Subaru has further refined its CVT so That for the new Subaru Impreza a lighter and more compact unit delivers smooth, linear acceleration, closer to a conventional automatic transmission while still delivering aspects the efficiency benefits of a CVT. Higher specification Subaru Impreza models will feature a CVT with 6-speed manual, operated by steering wheel paddle shifters.
