New Mustang for 2012 Formula Drift season
Vaughn Gittin Jr. revealed the newly updated livery of his 2013 Monster Energy Falken Tire Ford Mustang RTR at an exclusive party hosted by Hoonigan at the Pike Restaurant and Bar last night. Hoonigan, an automotive lifestyle apparel brand, will also be producing Vaughn’s personal line of team gear using design elements from his competition car.
“The turnout of people to check out my new car was beyond expectation,” says Vaughn Gittin Jr. “It’s pretty humbling to see the support that I have from my peers, and I am happy everyone was able to get a bit crazy together before the season kicks off!”
“I am really pumped on my new 2013 Mustang,” says Vaughn. “We added some more personality and rock n’ roll by way of an updated livery and under the hood is an insane new motor. Hands down, it is the best car I have ever driven.”
The 2013 Monster Energy Falken Tire Ford Mustang is powered by a Ford Racing/Roush Yates built 6.7L V8. The car will once again be supported and maintained by Autosport Dynamics of Charlotte, NC.
Vaughn Gittin Jr. will compete in all seven rounds of Formula Drift, the series in which he took the 2010 Championship. Stops include Long Beach, Atlanta, West Palm Beach, New Jersey, Seattle, Las Vegas, and a finale in Irwindale, California.
This upcoming weekend, the Formula Drift season kicks off in the Streets of Long Beach, and Vaughn hopes to start the season off the best way possible – with a win! For more information or to follow Vaughn along throughout the weekend, visit Vaughn’s Facebook Page or VaughnGittin.com.
